Man City injury latest ahead of Norwich: Star midfielder misses training, Foden return timetable revealed, Gundogan to be assessed on Saturday
Man City vs Norwich
Manchester City’s 2021/22 Premier League campaign did not get off to a great start.
Despite dominating in large periods, City lost 1-0 away to Tottenham on the opening weekend.
Pep Guardiola and co. should, however, have a much easier test this time around.
The Sky Blues are set to play host to Norwich City in a 3 PM kick-off this coming Saturday.
The Canaries did not get their Premier League return off to a great start, losing 3-0 at home to Liverpool last weekend. And a similar drubbing is likely coming their way this week as well.

During the press, Pep would provide an update on Ilkay Gundogan.
The forward picked up a shoulder knock in Man City’s opening-weekend defeat, as confirmed by Guardiola following the game:
Gundogan to be assessed: “It was something in his shoulder,” Pep said post-match. “We will see what happens tomorrow with the doctor. it looks like something happened.”

There was then some unconfirmed reports on Wednesday that the German had trained normally on Wednesday.
But during his latest pre-match press conference on Friday, Guardiola did not confirm if the German would be back to face Norwich, instead stating that they will see on Saturtday.
Elsewhere, the Spaniard stated that Kevin De Bruyne could not train on Friday, whilst Phil Foden will return after the break:
PEP 💬 He [@DeBruyneKev] could not train today. @IlkayGuendogan had a little disturbance. We will see tomorrow. @PhilFoden will be ready after the break. Gundo has a little problem with his ankle. See how he feels tomorrow.
