Malang Sarr singles out ‘really smart’ Chelsea duo following Premier League debut
Chelsea see off Brentford
Chelsea were back in Premier League action on Saturday evening.
The Blues faced off with a Brentford side who have enjoyed a fine start to 2021/22 and have already played out an enthralling 3-3 draw with Liverpool.
As a result, there was an expectation that the Bees would prove a stern test for Chelsea.
And this indeed proved to be the case. Ben Chilwell netted the only goal of the game to secure all three points for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
However, Brentford dominated the tie and probably felt somewhat aggrieved that they did not come away with at least a point.
Malang Sarr praises Chelsea duo
The main reason Brentford did not do so was due to Chelsea’s superb defensive work.
Edouard Mendy was a rock between the sticks:

Elsewhere, Malang Sarr put on a fine display in a back-three in what was his first Premier League appearance.
And now, following his PL debut, the centre-back has singled out both Andreas Christensen and Trevoh Chalobah for praise. When speaking about the pair post-match, Sarr stated:
“These two are really smart.
“It is really easy for me to adapt to them and to talk to them because they are really close to each other and they really want to help the team win.
“As soon as you are a team player it is real easy for you to step in and just fit with them.”
