Reds ‘shown interest’ in Adrian Bernabe
First up, Sport Witness, citing reports from Spain, claim Liverpool are one of several clubs to have shown interest in Parma’s Adrian Bernabe.
Bernabe is a central midfielder by trade and has previously enjoyed spells in Barcelona and Manchester City’s youth ranks.
But he would join Parma on a free transfer from Man City earlier this summer. The Spaniard would make five senior appearances for City but has since been shipped off to Italy, though he is yet to debut for Parma due to injury.
Kingsley Coman linked
Elsewhere, according to Goal citing Spanish outlet Fichajes, three top teams are lining up to sign Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich. Said teams are named as Liverpool, Tottenham and Juventus.
Coman has featured over 200 times for Bayern, scoring 41 goals and providing 50 assists. Could the Frenchman be a successor to Sadio Mane at Liverpool?
New deal for midfielder touted
Finally, a very brief report from Italian outlet Calciomercato claims that Naby Keita is negotiating the renewal of his Liverpool contract.
The midfielder would join Liverpool in 2018 and, despite a fairly underwhelming stint at Anfield, is seemingly looking to extend his current deal, which runs until 2023.
Injury and fitness issues have played some role in the former RB Leipzig man struggling at Liverpool, but it does seem somewhat odd that those in a position of power would want to offer him a new deal given he has failed to live up to the potential he had shown in Germany.
