Messi unfit for weekend duty against Bordeaux
Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino confirmed that star man Lionel Messi would once again miss out on selection for the Parisians this weekend after his pre-match press conference today.
With a weekend clash against Girondins de Bordeaux at the Matmut Atlantique on the cards, the former Tottenham headmaster that Messi is set to miss selection due to a thigh injury.

According to Get French Football News “The club has indicated in today’s medical report that the Argentine is undergoing treatment for knee pain and for a hamstring issue, having already missed the midweek Champions League match against Leipzig.”
Despite his lack of fitness for his current club employers, Messi will still join up with his Argentine teammates for two crunch World Cup qualifying fixtures that see La Albiceleste travel to Montevideo to take on Uruguay on 12 November before hosting bitter rivals Brazil four days later in San Juan.
A poor start to life in Paris
Lionel Messi may be the biggest thing to ever hit Barcelona in the club’s entire footballing history, but his gravitas has not translated to Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain since his summer move.
Thus far, the Argentine legend has yet to register a single goal or assist for his new club under his compatriot headmaster.

He has been influential on European nights, however, scoring once in a 2-0 win against Manchester City and then adding a brace against RB Leipzig.
But Messi has featured just five times from a possible eleven matches since he was reunited with former clubmate Neymar, and his fresh fitness concern means he will already have blown through one-third of the domestic campaign without opening his account.
