Leicester dealt yet another defensive injury blow vs Norwich
Leicester City’s dismal spell of luck on the personnel front has continued on Saturday afternoon.
Vardy on target
Brendan Rodgers’ men are currently locked in Premier League action with Norwich City at Carrow Road.
The Foxes headed into proceedings in search of an immediate bounce-back display, having seen a fine opening to the campaign brought to a firm end at the hands of West Ham last weekend.
And, as things stand in Norfolk, a return to winning ways is precisely what Leicester are headed towards.
Just shy of the half hour mark, the visitors lead by a goal to nil, courtesy of Jamie Vardy.
After being picked out by the surging Ricardo Pereira down the right, the Foxes’ main man made no mistake with his finish, picking out the far top corner with aplomb.

Pereira crocked
As outlined above, however, an otherwise positive afternoon thus far for Rodgers and co. has been soured considerably by a fresh blow on the personnel front.
Remarkably, in pulling the ball back for Vardy’s opener, explosive full-back Pereira managed to pick up a fitness issue, which ultimately forced the Portuguese to limp from the field of play.
The returning Timothy Castagne was introduced in his place.

An ensuing spell on the sidelines for Pereira would mark something of a disaster for Leicester, with the Foxes already without the services of a trio of defenders, in the form of Jonny Evans, Jannik Vestergaard and Wesley Fofana.
