Patrick Bamford & Tottenham
After a standout 2020/21 campaign, it appears that Patrick Bamford has attracted interest from Tottenham.
However, the Mirror report that Leeds hope Bamford will turn his back on interest from Tottenham and sign a new long-term contract with them instead.
It is added that The Whites have been in talks with Bamford over the summer and want to reward him for his fine campaign last time out. Bamford is also said to intimated he was happy to remain at Leeds and feels he has found a home in Yorkshire.
Another player to have been linked with Leeds a fair bit recently has been Lewis O’Brien.
Reports began to emerge at the end of July linking Leeds with a move for the Huddersfield central midfielder.
And it was claimed that Leeds have turned their attentions to the 22-year-old after missing out on Conor Gallagher who has since signed for Crystal Palace.
Now, a fresh update on the situation has been forthcoming courtesy of the Telegraph.
They report that Leeds are edging closer to a deal with Huddersfield for O’Brien, with hopes that a package worth £7m plus add-ons can be agreed.
They add that Bielsa wants O’Brien in before the deadline closes and that the Argentine is also in the market for a winger.
Ryan Kent linked
One winger Bielsa does look to be interested in is Rangers’ Ryan Kent.
The Englishman played a starring role in their recent title-winning campaign and looks to have caught the eye of Leeds.
However, Leeds Live, citing the Scottish Sun, write that Leeds have been priced out of a move for Kent.
Ranges are said to have set a £15m asking price, but that is believed to be ‘a bridge too far’ for Leeds.
