Kurt Zouma starts for West Ham vs Watford day after video of him kicking cat emerges
For those not aware, a video emerged on Monday of West Ham centre-back Kurt Zouma kicking a cat.
The video itself is not an easy watch and has, very rightly so, seen Zouma given a lot of stick online.
The Frenchman has since released an apology, which saw him state: “I want to apologise for my actions. There are no excuses for my behaviour, which I sincerely regret.
“I also want to say how deeply sorry I am to anyone who was upset by the video. I would like to assure everyone that our two cats are perfectly fine and healthy.
“They are loved and cherished by our entire family, and this behaviour was an isolated incident that will not happen again.”
It has since emerged that Zouma will face an internal disciplinary hearing at West Ham after he was filmed kicking his cat, whilst Essex Police have confirmed that they are liaising with the RSPCA regarding the video:
“We are aware of a video circulating on social media relating to an incident involving a cat which members of our communities may find distressing. We are liaising with the RSPCA and urgent enquiries are ongoing.”

A frankly bizarre decision from West Ham.
