Kuo: Apple’s mixed reality headset could arrive as early as spring

Apple’s mixed reality headset is finally coming this year, but don’t hold your breath just yet. Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has reaffirmed his estimate that the Apple AR/MR will arrive in late Q2 2023 or possibly Q3 2023.

Kuo’s latest research points to problems with mechanical component drop testing and a lack of software development tools.

Kuo says Apple is unlikely to unveil the AR/MR headset in January and will more likely push the announcement back to the spring or maybe even to the WWDC conference in June, depending on how development progresses.
