Kogi pension commissioner, Akeweje shot dead
The Kogi State Pension Board Commissioner, Solomon Akeweje, has been killed by unknown gunmen on Saturday evening while returning from Ilorin to Kabba.
It was gathered that his vehicle was shot at Eruku area of Kwara State, some kilometers to Egbe.
The whereabouts of the Chairman of Yagba West Local Government Area, Pius Kolawole, who was with Akeweje when the incident happened is yet to be known, The PUNCH reports.
It was learnt that the Pension Board Commissioner died after being hit by bullets.
The state police commissioner, Ayuba Ede, said “the incident took place at Eruku general area of Kwara State”.
Ede said an investigation is in progress.
