Jio True 5G service launched in Haridwar, now available in 226 cities

Reliance Jio launched its True 5G services in Haridwar from Har Ki Pauri on Saturday, bringing the total number of Jio True 5G cities across the country to 226.

The telecom company said that starting today, Jio users in Haridwar will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer to enjoy unlimited data at speeds of up to 1Gbps+ at no additional cost. .

Haridwar becomes the second city in the state after the capital Dehradun to benefit from Jio True 5G services, according to a statement from the company.

Jio True 5G is rolling out at a rapid pace and is the only 5G service to be present in Haridwar, providing Jio users with the transformational benefits of True 5G technology, the company said.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “It is a great pleasure that the 5G (fifth generation mobile system) services of the Jio network, which started from the city of Dehradun in the ‘Uttarakhand, have been extended and launched in Haridwar today.With the commencement of this service, not only the people of Haridwar but also the pilgrims visiting the holy city of Haridwar from home and abroad including pilgrims visiting for Char Dham yatra in the near future will benefit.”

According to the statement, the company has strong network coverage throughout the state, from the state capital, Dehradun, to Mana, the last Indian village in Uttarakhand towards the Indo-Tibetan border. He said Jio is the only operator in the state, present in all Char Dhams, Shri Kedarnath Dham trekking route and Shri Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, located at an altitude of 13,650 meters.

The Chief Minister also added, “The launch of 5G services by Jio Network before the start of Chardham Yatra is commendable.
