Jeremy Renner thanks fans for their support after suffering a snowplow accident

Jeremy Renner thanked his fans for their words of encouragement from his hospital bed on Tuesday, two days after he was airlifted to hospital following an accident that left him seriously injured, according to a report by the Associated Press on Monday.

Renner was injured while plowing snow near Reno, Nevada. The actor has a home in the state, and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Sunday that he was the only person involved in the accident. The Avengers actor is said to be in critical but stable condition.

Renner thanked his fans on Tuesday for their words of support.

“Thank you all for your kind words,” the actor wrote in an Instagram post. “I’m too screwed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”

Few details of the accident were made available. The sheriff’s office said it was reviewing the circumstances of the event.

Renner, best known for playing Hawk Eye in the marvel movies and Disney+ series, had promoted on his Twitter account in recent weeks the second season of his Paramount More show, Mayor of Kingstown, which will premiere on January 15.
