ITV’s streaming app ITVX is finally available on Sky Q

The ITV app has been strangely missing from one of the most popular home entertainment boxes for years. Today that changes, as ITVX is now available on Sky Q.
The app was previously available on other Sky devices, such as Sky Glass and Sky Stream, but was not available on the set-top box. The previous ITV streaming app, ITV Hub, was also never fully available on Sky Q. Customers could only watch ITV content via Sky’s own on-demand library and via TV channels.
If you have Sky Q and want to start using ITVX, you don’t have to do anything: it should be available on the homepage’s app rail from today.
With ITVX, customers can watch live linear shows such as Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Love Island, as well as stream previous ITV classics such as Broadchurch and White House Farm. They also have the option to catch up on on-demand shows and watch certain shows before they air on linear TV channels.
ITVX is free to sign up, but includes ads. If you want ad-free viewing on non-live programming, you can sign up for ITVX Premium. It costs £5.99 per month or £59.99 per year, but also gives you access to BritBox Originals such as A Spy Among Friends and Tell Me Everything.
