iQOO 11 and 11 Pro are official with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, UFC 4.0 storage, 200W charging

The iQOO 11 and iQOO 11 Pro are official and, most importantly, nearly identical.

It starts with the design. The iQOO 11 series brings the tricolor stripe design, which is a fusion of iQOO and BMW M Motorsport brand colors. This finish is called the iQOO 11 Legend Edition and it uses both fiberglass and vegan leather, which has then been coated with a stain-resistant finish.

Both have a 6.78-inch 1440x3200px Samsung E6 AMOLED with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz, 1B colors and HDR10+ support. The pair of iQOO 11 uses the new V2 chip, which takes advantage of high frame rate management and can improve game performance.

The two also share the same computing platform, which is impressive – it’s all based on a 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with 8GB, 12GB or 16GB of RAM. The pair also bring next-gen storage – UFC 4.0, which promises to be faster than the current UFS 3.1.

Continuing the thread of performance, the iQOO 11 series can further increase RAM with Extended RAM 3.0 up to 8GB. Being an iQOO, this means gaming is at the top of the priority list, so vivo has equipped the phones with a vapor chamber cooling system with a 4013 mm2 stamped stainless steel chamber.

The cameras are a bit different between the iQOO 11 and the 11 Pro. The iQOO 11 features a 50MP 1/1.57-inch Samsung GN5-type main camera, a 3x 13MP “portrait” camera, and an 8MP 16mm fixed-focus ultrawide. The iQOO 11 Pro brings a 50MP Sony IMX866 1/1.49-inch type sensor for its main camera, a 50MP 150° ultrawide and the same 13MP 3x “portrait” camera.

The cameras benefit from Pure Night View and 4K Super Night Video for better noise reduction in images and videos, as well as a mode that enables near-instant photo capture in Zero-Shutter-Lag Motion Snapshot.

Another difference between the iQOO 11 and the 11 Pro is the front glass. The Pro has curved glass on the 6.78-inch screen, while the iQOO 11’s screen only has the edges of a more conventional 2.5D curve.

Batteries and charging specifications are also different. The iQOO 11 has a 5000mAh battery that can charge as fast as 120W. The iQOO 11 Pro drops the battery size to 4700mAh but charging goes up to 200W. The Pro also has 50W wireless charging, which the vanilla model lacks.

The iQOO 11 Pro will be available for pre-order on December 21 in China. It’s CNY4,999 (€689, converted) for the 8/256GB model, CNY5,499 (€750, converted) for the 12/256GB model, and CNY5,999 (€820, converted) for the top model. 16/512 GB range.

With the iQOO 11, vivo is branching out from its home market of China and its usual stomping grounds of India. The phone is available today in Indonesia and Malaysia and will arrive in Thailand on December 15 (16/512 GB for 29,990 THB). Vivo will hold an event to launch the iQOO 11 in India on January 10, and the phone will go on sale on January 13.
