According to user reports on Reddit and Apple’s community forum, a considerable number of users are seeing flashing green and yellow lines on their iPhone screen when the device is turned on. A few users say that Apple clarified that the flashing lines issue is not a hardware issue. Instead, Apple reportedly said it was an iOS bug. Some iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users claim that the problem started with iOS 16.2, while others claim that it was present in older versions of iOS 16.

Some iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users have taken to the Reddit and Apple community forum to complain that their devices show horizontal lines on the screen when they wake up or start up. According to a Redditor, the colors and numbers of horizontal lines vary, however, green and yellow lines are the most common. Some users claim that the problem does not occur every time. Another user says the lines were gone after a second.

The problem is said to have started after the iOS 16.2 update, while others claim to have seen flashing lines on the screen in previous versions of iOS 16.

Some Reddit users say they took their high-end iPhone 14 series models to the Apple Store and were told that the problem is not the result of a hardware failure but a bug in iOS . Few people claim that the problem persisted after booting their smartphone and updating the device to iOS 16.2.

Apple is aware of the ongoing issue. The company’s support team earlier this week tweeted ask affected users for more details about the issue and what version of iOS their devices are running.
