Insomniac Games Unveils Spider-Man 2 Fall 2023 On PS5

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the long-awaited sequel to 2018’s open-world odyssey, will launch in the fall of 2023. Depending on the seasons for the Global North, Spider-Man 2 will drop between September and November 2023. Revealed in a article on the PlayStation Blog, the game will be exclusive to the PS5, promising a continuation of the arc of Peter Parker and Miles Morales, in the next blockbuster chapter. There isn’t much information about the game, but a PlayStation showcase from last year confirmed that the Venom symbiote will play a key antagonistic role. Tony Todd, who rose to fame with the Candyman horror movie series, voices the antihero.

“What a year it has been for PlayStation Studios; here at Insomniac Games, we are absolutely impressed with the work of our peers,” creative director Bryan Intihar said in the blog post, which lists the biggest gaming highlights for the next year. “Congratulations to everyone on a successful 2022…and see you next year which will be just as exciting as we continue to prepare Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for release next fall.”

Last year, Ryan Schneider, head of franchise strategy and studio relations, Insomniac Games, confirmed that “much of the development team” who worked on Spider-Man in 2018 is from back to produce the sequel, which features the aforementioned Intihar and game director Ryan Smith. . The build-up to the Spider-Man 2 launch window announcement was nothing short of dramatic. The title was briefly available to wishlist on the UK storefront earlier this week, which hinted at an imminent announcement. The store page is now live worldwide. A little later, Jamie Mayer, one of the scriptwriters of the game revealed on his personal website – now updated – that the sequel was aiming for a fall 2023 mailing list. The window also lines up with the last two Spider Man games, Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, both launching in November.

Spider-Man 2 won’t be the only title where Parker and Morales from the game will appear.
