Insight into Harvey Elliot’s attitude provided after netting his first Liverpool goal
Harvey Elliot returned from a horrible injury to net his first goal in Liverpool colours in front of the Kop end at Anfield. To many, that is their greatest dream, and the 18-year-old lived it.
The youngster suffered a fractured ankle following a horror tackle against Leeds United in the opening games of the season, and only returned to action against Cardiff.
But, coming on with new signing Luis Diaz, he marked his return with a goal, his first for Liverpool at senior level. And, it was joy that was shared both by Elliot and by his father, who stood in disbelief as his son ran off celebrating.
What an unbelievable moment. Harvey Elliots dad seeing his boy just score in front of the kop! A life long Liverpool fan ❤️ I’m in tears 😭 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 #LiverpoolFC #elliott pic.twitter.com/2El8e7v3dw

How Elliot returned from injury
Now speaking after the game, Harvey Elliot’s dad has provided insight into just what sort of character his son is, by discussing his injury history on the Kenn7 podcast.
And Mr Elliot revealed that his son has made the sort of early comeback that Liverpool fans saw against Cardiff before, and suggests he will likely do so again.
‘He broke his collarbone once and was told he was out for 6 weeks, he said ‘f*ck that, I’m back in 4’ and he was the same with this, he revealed.’
‘He was told 6 months and he said he’s knocking a month off that. He hasn’t said one negative word about it.’

Still in the early stages of his career, should he continue his meteoric rise, he could well have quite some career.
