Infinix Smart 7 HD with 6.6 inch screen is expected to launch in India on April 28

The launch of the Infinix Smart 7 HD smartphone is confirmed in India on April 28. The phone is expected to be a slimmed down version of the Infinix Smart 7, which was launched in the country earlier this year in February. The Smart 7 HD is expected to retain some of the key specs while compromising on some aspects. A rounded model should also be cheaper, but nothing has been officially confirmed yet. The company has however announced a few features that we will see with the Infinix Smart 7 HD.

Like its counterpart device, the Smart 7 HD is confirmed to have a 6.6-inch IPS LCD HD+ display, but will use a smaller 5000mAh battery instead of the 6000mAh one of the Infinix Smart 7. The company has also confirmed that the next budget device will have up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Most other specs should be the same as the Smart 7.

Infinix Smart 7 Specifications and Features

The phone sports a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution (1,612 x 720 pixels), 60Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits peak brightness. It is powered by a Unisoc SC9863A1 SoC, paired with a PowerVR GPU. The Infinix Smart 7 comes with 4GB of RAM, 3GB of extended virtual RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone runs Android 12 with the XOS 12 skin on top.

The dual camera unit of the Infinix Smart 7 features a primary 13MP AI sensor and a secondary 2MP sensor accompanied by a dual LED flash. The 5-megapixel front-facing selfie camera is housed in a center-aligned teardrop notch at the top of the display.

The upcoming Infinix phone is backed by a ‘segment first’ large 6000mAh battery with 10W charging support. The phone comes with a USB Type-C charging port and includes a microSD card slot dedicated for extended storage. For added security, the phone has a side fingerprint reader as well as a face unlock software feature.

Along with the antibacterial back panel and the wavy pattern visible on the back of the smartphone, it comes in Emerald Green, Midnight Black, and Azure Blue color options. It weighs 207 grams and measures 164.2mm x 75.63mm x 9.37mm.
