Ilkay Gundogan has spoken out on the possibility of Erling Haaland joining Manchester City.
A number of reports concerning a potential Haaland to Manchester City transfer have already emerged in March.
Firstly, 101 covered reports that claimed Pep Guardiola and co. have a deal in place that would see a total outlay of £100m for the Haaland’s services in the summer. This would consist of his £64m release clause, as well as a significant signing on fee to both Haaland and agent Mino Raiola.
It was then reported that Manchester City are ready to make Erling Haaland the highest-paid player in England, should he join from Borussia Dortmund, with a wage in excess of £500,000 a week at City being touted.

Now, Man City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has been speaking about Haaland whilst away on international duty.
When asked if Haaland and Pep Guardiola would work at Man City, the former BVB midfielder said: “I think: Yes, [Erling Haaland and Pep Guardiola would work at #ManCity].
“Haaland has the quality for every top-team.”

Then, when quizzed on City signing Haaland despite Guardiola’s preference to not use a striker for much of this season, Gundogan stated: “It’s a long time ago that we played with a classical striker.
“I think he is a player with big qualities who fits into every team.”
