And, when all was said and done in the capital, this is precisely what the hosts managed.

A dominant display ultimately culminated in Arteta and co. emerging on the right side of a 2-0 scoreline, owing to strikes from the aforementioned Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

The latter’s effort, which arrived with just his 2nd touch after being introduced as a 2nd-half substitute, proved particularly spectacular, with the Brazilian having lofted a wonderful volleyed finish beyond the advancing Martin Dubravka from Takehiro Tomiyasu’s assist:

As alluded to above, though, despite Martinelli’s first goal of the campaign having stolen the majority of the headlines post-match, it was in fact the celebratory antics of fellow youngster Saka which piqued the attentions of many an Arsenal fan.

The player in question? Mesut Ozil.

As showcased below, after wheeling away on the back of his goal just shy of the hour mark, Saka put his thumb to his mouth, whilst making an ‘M’ shape with his other hand, in a direct replica of the post-goal celebration so long showcased by midfield maestro Ozil at the Emirates:
