Huawei P60, Huawei Mate 60 series expected to feature Snapdragon chipsets, will soon enter mass production

The Huawei P60 range is reportedly in the works and is expected to be unveiled in March next year. A tipster has now suggested that these smartphones will soon go into mass production with the Huawei Mate 60 series. There were rumors suggesting that the Huawei P60 might be powered by a Kirin 9100 SoC. ranges will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Additionally, these Huawei handsets are expected to support 4G connectivity.

According to a Tweeter per tipster Teme (Twitter: @RODENT950), the Huawei Mate 60 series could be powered by a Snapdragon chipset codenamed SM8525. It could be a 4G variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is codenamed SM8550. Similarly, the Huawei P60 series could pack a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G SoC.

Teme claims that these two ranges will only offer 4G connectivity. Additionally, the previously rumored Kirin 9100 SoC will be absent from the Huawei P60. Moreover, these Huawei smartphones are expected to be put into mass production soon.

Earlier reports suggested that the Huawei P60 series will debut in March 2023. The vanilla Huawei P60 handset will reportedly feature the same variable aperture lens featured on the Huawei Mate 50. There could also be a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor at the back. .

The tipster had also previously share Supposed renderings of the Huawei P60. It appears to have a pill-shaped notch on the front to house the dual selfie camera. On the back, this smartphone would feature two circular camera islands. The top one could house two large sensors, while the bottom island would feature a small sensor and an LED flash.

On the other hand, not much else is known about the Huawei Mate 60 series at this point. Huawei has not yet officially confirmed the existence of these two ranges of smartphones.
