Huawei MatePad 11 (2023), Enjoy 60 and FreeBuds 5 announced

Huawei held a busy launch event earlier today with many new announcements. The latest announced on stage were the Enjoy 60 smartphone, the MatePad 11 (2023) Harmony OS tablet and the FreeBuds 5 TWS headphones.

Huawei Enjoy 60

Huawei Enjoy 60 is a budget phone with a large 6000 mAh battery, a 6.75 inch TFT LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 48 MP main camera. The phone boots Harmony OS 3.0 and comes with a 22.5W charger in the box. Huawei has not shared any information about the chipset used in the Enjoy 60.

Huawei Enjoy 60

It is available with 128GB or 256GB storage versions and comes in Magic Night Black, Ice Crystal Blue and Dawn Gold colors. The price in China is set at CNY1,299 ($190) and open sales begin tomorrow.

Huawei MatePad 11 (2023)

MatePad 11 (2023) is the mid-range entry in Huawei’s tablet lineup for this year. It has an 11-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The tablet is equipped with the Snapdragon 870 chipset and 6/8 GB of RAM with 128/256 GB of storage. The software side is covered by HarmonyOS 3.1 while the battery comes in at 7,250 mAh.

MatePad 11 (2023)

MatePad 11 (2023) comes in Obsidian Black, Island Blue, Crystal White, Streamer Purple colors and starts at CNY 2,199 ($322). Open sales in China begin on March 30.

Huawei FreeBuds 5

Huawei’s latest announcement is the FreeBuds 5 wireless earbuds. They bring a design that’s bold to say the least with an in-ear design without silicone tips. The headphones support L2HC and LDAC codecs for high-resolution audio streaming and offer spatial sound (on HarmonyOS 3 devices) as well as active noise cancellation (ANC) and dynamic EQ adjustment.

The buds contain dual 11mm LCP magnetic drivers and pair via Bluetooth 5.2 with multipoint pairing support. Vapors bring touch controls. The headphones should be good for 5 hours of listening time while the combined battery life is rated at 30 hours with the charging case. The case supports wired charging via USB-C as well as wireless charging. The set is IP54 dust and splash proof.

Huawei FreeBuds 5

The FreeBuds 5 are available in Frosted Silver, Ceramic White, and Coral Orange. The price in China is set at 899 CNY ($132).
