Huawei Mate X3 screen size revealed

Huawei will unveil the Mate X3 foldable smartphone on March 23 in China at an event starting at 2:30 p.m. local time. The company hasn’t divulged much about the foldable, but DSCC CEO Ross Young did reveal some details about the Mate X3’s display.

Young says the Huawei Mate X3 will feature a 7.85″ foldable display, which is 0.15″ smaller than the Mate X2’s foldable display. However, the diagonal of the cover screen will remain the same – 6.45″.

The DSCC CEO also claimed that the Mate X3 will be Huawei’s first smartphone using Ultra Thin Glass (UTG), with the screens manufactured by BOE.

More details on the Mate X3 could emerge in the days leading up to the March 23 event, where Huawei will also showcase the P60 series.
