HP launches new hybrid gear for remote work productivity
With workplace strategies continually shifting, HP on Wednesday at CES 2023 showcased a new hybrid line of work PCs and accessories to meet the growing needs of displaced workers.
The hybrid design provides greater flexibility and freedom in users’ personal lives. However, it also brings its own set of challenges to keeping people productive and connected to others, according to Alex Cho, president of personal systems at HP. The company addresses these issues with designs to meet the demands and needs of hybrid work and lifestyles.
To help take productivity to the next level, HP announced its new Dragonfly Pro portfolio for freelancers, a range of innovative monitors, the Poly Voyager Free 60 Series professional-grade wireless headphones for a new approach to audio experiences, the HP 620/625 FHD Rechargeable Webcam and Mouse with Extended Battery Life.
Chromebook Dragonfly Pro
With the freelancer community expected to represent more than 50% of the total U.S. workforce by 2027, HP’s Dragonfly-branded technology offers freelancers a safe path to improve experiences around multitasking and heavy workloads. New HP Dragonfly Pro Wallet helps reduce friction in users’ lives with powerful sound, camera, touchscreen, all-day battery life, and 24/7 live concierge and support /7 for effortless productivity.
The Dragonfly Pro Chromebook, with its 14″ screen, is designed for people who are constantly connected to the Internet, who want an easy-to-use device with premium features and design, and who consume a variety of content wherever they go. are going. It has a user-facing 8MP camera in a clamshell Chromebook and a bright 1,200-nit touchscreen.
It’s Intel Evo certified for fast performance, connectivity and charging – and offers intuitive phone-to-device pairing, a standard Chromebook feature.

The new HP Dragonfly Pro was co-engineered with AMD using the company’s adaptive platform management framework, which optimizes performance in real-world productivity scenarios. It’s also the first HP device to offer direct access to 24/7 HP Live Concierge support directly through one of four hotkeys.
The Control Center hotkey provides quick access to the most common device settings. A camera hotkey allows the user to easily adjust camera settings, and the fourth key is customizable to help improve workflow or allow simple navigation. The Dragonfly Pro Chromebook will be available in Ceramic White (shown above) and Sparkling Black.
Three new collaboration options
In addition to the Chromebook, HP introduced its Dragonfly G4, EliteBook 1040 G10, and Elite x360 1040 G10 to deliver enhanced collaboration experiences with intuitive video conferencing innovations to support hybrid working. These include:
- Multi-camera experience to support dual video streams and camera switching to simultaneously display faces and an object or whiteboard, picture-in-picture or side-by-side;
- Automatic camera selection uses smart face tracking to recognize which camera a user is facing to keep the audience engaged without breaking eye contact;
- HP keystone correction allows sharing a whiteboard or physical document by automatically cropping and flattening images from the camera feed with just one click; and
- HP is back allows users to change their video stream to a still image without disrupting meetings when they need a break.

The new HP Dragonfly and Elite 1000 Series PCs contain 90% recycled magnesium in the case casing, 5% ocean-bound plastic in the speaker housing, and bio-circular content such as coconut oil. waste cooking to help reduce CO2 emissions.
Advanced Home Office Monitors
Enriching a hybrid workspace at home or in the office requires having the right tools and technology to reflect preferred work styles, HP noted of its new design line. To complete the PC ecosystem, HP announced new monitors, accessories and services. All monitors in this series contain 90% recycled and renewable materials, such as coffee grounds and recycled aluminum.
With display sizes ranging from 21.5″ to 44.5″ diagonally, HP E-Series G5 monitors blend into the home or office with sleek, elegant designs. The series offers a variety of choices to help hybrid workers stay focused and connected with 4K resolution on select models, curved and ultra-wide displays, 99% sRGB and matching accessories.

HP’s Eye Ease feature reduces blue light exposure and an ambient light sensor automatically adjusts screen brightness. The HP E45c G5 Monitor is a super ultra-wide 45″ dual QHD curved monitor for a more immersive experience. A new Virtual Dual Display feature allows you to replace two 24″ QHD monitors with this massive display.

For home workers, learners, and entertainment users, the HP M24h and M27h FHD Monitors enhance home setups with improved ergonomics to find their perfect posture and viewing angle. It is also the first series of monitors with a comfortable setup guide, accessible via integrated display software.
Wireless headphones with Poly Audio technology
HP also introduced the Poly Voyager Free 60 Series line of professional-grade wireless headphones for hybrid lifestyles. The new devices offer up to five hours of talk time with Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and WindSmart technology to block out distracting background noise.
The standard version includes a charging case that provides an additional 10 hours of talk time. The Poly Voyager Free 60+ comes with a smart charging case that includes an OLED touchscreen with access to volume and mute functions, a quick view of battery life and call status, and a convenient 3.5mm analog input for in-flight entertainment systems. .

These wireless headphones are available in Carbon Black or White Sand and feature a sleek, modern design for all-day comfort and flexibility. The Poly Lens mobile app allows users to customize settings on their Poly device while IT teams can manage and receive information.
New webcam and mouse
The Zoom-certified HP 620/625 FHD 1080p Webcam features dual noise-canceling microphones, adjustable field of view, and video capabilities. These include autofocus, AI face framing, and background light enhancement.

The webcam saves precious seconds with Windows Hello facial recognition compatibility and captures every angle with 360 degree rotation and 90 degree tilt for added flexibility.
Webcam sustainability features include 71% post-consumer recycled plastic and 100% recyclable packaging.
The HP 710 Rechargeable Quiet Mouse lets users work with a compact ambidextrous design, quiet clicks, and up to 90 days of battery life. Its six programmable buttons for custom shortcuts allow users to maximize their workflow and work with multi-OS compatibility on three registered devices.

Designed for the Intel Evo laptop accessories program, the mouse provides reliable connectivity when paired with Intel Evo laptops. The HP 710 is made from 60% post-consumer recycled plastics.
Availability and prices
HP’s new line of computers for remote work and freelancers is expected to arrive this spring on HP.com. Pricing is not yet available.
The E-Series G5 monitors are expected to be available in January starting at $219, and the M-Series monitors are slated for release this spring, starting at $209 — both on HP.com.
The Poly Voyager Free 60 Series headphones are due out in March on Poly.com and HP.com, starting at $299 – also available in a Microsoft Teams-certified version.
Look for the HP 620/625 FHD Webcam for $109.99 and the HP 710 Rechargeable Silent Mouse for $79.99, both on HP.com in January.
