How Totteham’s fans took aim at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of Man United clash
The home support to have arrived early ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s meeting with Manchester United this evening made use of the opportunity to take aim at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Red Devils visit the capital
The marquee fixture of the Premier League weekend is of course set to play out later this evening.
Amid mounting pressure on the part of both sets of fanbases, Tottenham and Manchester United will go head-to-head in north London, in Saturday’s late kick-off.
The clash marks an absolutely crucial one for both sides, amid their respective efforts to push back towards the English top-flight’s top-4.
As things stand, it is hosts Spurs who boast the advantage in the table, albeit by just a solitary point, on the back of a 1-0 defeat at the hands of capital rivals West Ham last time out.
Manchester United, meanwhile, after looking like early-season title contenders, have slipped to the depths of 8th, owing to just a solitary point secured from the club’s last four fixtures.
As such, it goes without saying that the pressure is on Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this evening, as the Norwegian battles to maintain his job on the bench in Manchester.
As outlined above, though, one group evidently not feeling all that sympathetic when it comes the situation of the United boss are the Spurs faithful.
This was made clear by the actions of those to have made their way to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with time to spare ahead of Saturday’s clash getting underway, as chants of ‘sacked in the morning’ rang around north London:
