How to watch The US Treaters in the UK and abroad

BBC Betrayers came to a dramatic conclusion at the end of 2022. If you can’t get enough of this misleading series, then fear not – there’s an American version of the game show starting later this year. week.

The American version of The Traitors takes place in the same Scottish castle and again includes grueling tasks for the faithful and the traitors. However, there are some key differences. Scottish actor Alan Cumming will present in place of Claudia Winkleman, and half of the contestants are celebrities (the majority are former reality TV stars).

When is The Treaters (US) coming out?

You don’t have long to wait, because the American version of The Treaters will be released on January 12, 2023.

Unlike the UK version, all 10 episodes will be released at the same time. That means you can gorge on the whole show in one go, if you want.

How to watch The Treaters (US) in the UK and abroad

The Traitors (US) is set to air on Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service. There are three tiers of Peacock: Free, Premium, and Premium Plus. Premium (with ads) costs $4.99 per month and Premium Plus (without ads) costs $9.99 per month. Traitors will only be available on paid tiers.

Although Peacock content is available on Sky and Now, not all shows are syndicated in the UK. So far, we have no confirmation that The Treaters (US) will be available on these channels.

Deadline has now announced that the BBC is in talks to acquire the rights to the show. If so, it is likely to appear on BBC3 or iPlayer. However, no deal is official yet, and even if it is finalized, we don’t know how long it will take for the series to debut here in the UK.

However, there is still a way to stream the show using a VPN. A VPN can unblock streaming services by making it look like you’re in the United States, regardless of where you actually live.

Once you’ve chosen your VPN, you’ll need to bypass the payment process, which can be done with an iPhone or Android device and a PayPal account.

How to save your payment information on Peacock US

We managed to create a Peacock Premium account using an Android phone and ExpressVPN

Here’s what you need to do once you’ve downloaded your VPN to your mobile device:

• Launch your VPN on your iOS/Android device and connect to a US server
• Create a new Apple ID/Google Play account in your US-bound browser
• Register your new account on the app store of your iOS/Android device
• You should now have access to the US App Store – download and install the Peacock app
• If you don’t have access to the US App Store, connect to your VPN on your PC and send the app to your phone via the web.
• Tap “Skip” if the App Store asks you to add payment information to your account
• Create a new account in the Peacock app with your new email address and a password
• Use PayPal as payment method (this can be a UK account)
• Once your account is verified, you can log in from your browser on your PC/Laptop

During testing, I noticed that the Play Store does not switch to the US version, even when creating a new account.

As a workaround, I connected to a VPN on my PC, logging into the Google Play Store US website, searching for the Peacock app, and sending it to my phone (which was still connected to the VPN).

We’ve had reports of people being unable to install US streaming apps such as HBO Max on iOS because the App Store requires users to register their payment information in the App Store and does not accept UK PayPal if you are trying to register with this Account.

If this happens to you, we recommend purchasing US App Store Credit via a digital gift card, which can be added as a payment option in the US.

This can be purchased from places such as Amazon US, although there are other retailers available – you’ll need a website that allows you to pay with UK bank details.

If you set your email address as the recipient, the code to redeem the money will be sent to your inbox. When you have just added the payment information, select “use a gift card or code”, and you should be able to add the money as a credit to your account.

With this, you should then be able to sign up for a Peacock account and change your payment details on your UK PayPal through the website to avoid having to pay for a new gift card each time.
