How to Watch Poker Face Outside the US

Rian Johnson recently made headlines with the release of Glass Onion, Netflix’s exclusive sequel to the murder mystery, Knives Out. However, it also has a brand new mystery series debuting this month.

Natasha Lyonne stars as Charlie Cale, a detective who has a natural ability to tell when someone is lying. She goes on the road and deals with a whole series of unusual cases.

What is the release date of Poker Face?

Poker Face is only a few weeks away and will be releasing on Thursday, January 26, 2023 on the Peacock steam service in the United States. After that, new episodes will be released weekly on Thursdays.

It will only be available on the paid tiers of Peacock, which are Peacock Premium (with ads) for $4.99 per month, and Peacock Premium Plus (without ads) for $9.99 per month.

How to watch Poker Face in the UK

Peacock is available in the UK via Sky TV packages and the Now streaming service via the Entertainment subscription. However, not all content posted on Peacock US makes its way overseas to the UK.

So far, we have had no confirmation that Poker Face will release Sky/Now. If that changes, we’ll update this article.

Luckily, you can still watch Poker Face on Peacock US outside the US using a VPN. A VPN can unblock streaming services by making it look like you’re in the United States, regardless of where you actually live.

Once you’ve chosen your VPN, you’ll need to bypass the payment process, which can be done with an iPhone or Android device and a PayPal account.

How to save your payment information on Peacock US

We managed to create a Peacock Premium account using an Android phone and ExpressVPN

Here’s what you need to do once you’ve downloaded your VPN to your mobile device:

• Launch your VPN on your iOS/Android device and connect to a US server
• Create a new Apple ID/Google Play account in your US-bound browser
• Register your new account on the app store of your iOS/Android device
• You should now have access to the US App Store – download and install the Peacock app
• If you don’t have access to the US App Store, connect to your VPN on your PC and send the app to your phone via the web.
• Tap “Skip” if the App Store asks you to add payment information to your account
• Create a new account in the Peacock app with your new email address and a password
• Use PayPal as payment method (this can be a UK account)
• Once your account is verified, you can log in from your browser on your PC/Laptop

During testing, I noticed that the Play Store does not switch to the US version, even when creating a new account.

As a workaround, I connected to a VPN on my PC, logging into the Google Play Store US website, searching for the Peacock app, and sending it to my phone (which was still connected to the VPN).

Readers have contacted us to say they’ve had trouble installing US streaming apps like HBO Max on iOS. This is because the App Store requires users to save their payment information and does not accept UK PayPal if you try to sign up with this account.

If you are experiencing this issue, we recommend purchasing US App Store Credit via a digital gift card, which can be added as a payment option in the US.

You can buy one from places such as Amazon US, although there are other retailers available – you’ll need a website that allows you to pay with UK bank details.

If you set your email address as the recipient, the code to redeem the money will be sent to your inbox. When you have just added the payment information, select “use a gift card or code”, and you should be able to add the money as a credit to your account.

With this, you should then be able to sign up for a Peacock account and change your payment details on your UK PayPal through the website to avoid having to pay for a new gift card each time.
