How Salah compares to Kane and more after joining PL 100-club vs Leeds
An insight into where Liverpool star Mohamed Salah ranks amongst the fastest players to ever reach 100 goals in the Premier League has been forthcoming on Sunday evening.
Mo on target
Jurgen Klopp’s men are of course currently locked in action.
In their first outing on the back of the international break, the Reds have made the trip to Elland Road, for a league meeting with Leeds United.
Liverpool headed into proceedings aware that a victory would guide them to a joint-spot at the Premier League’s summit, alongside both Chelsea and Manchester United.
And, as things stand in West Yorkshire, all three points is precisely what the visitors are headed towards.
An electric opening 40 minutes sees Klopp and co. leading by a goal to nil, courtesy of a strike from star man Mohamed Salah.
After a wonderful team move culminated in Trent Alexander-Arnold being slipped in down the right, the English international made no mistake with a pinpoint delivery across the face of goal, for Salah to slot home in confident fashion:
“He joins the club in the Premier League!”

Salah takes 5th
And his latest strike, as outlined above, did not prove significant only in handing Liverpool the advantage on Sunday.
In addition, it saw Salah etch his name ever further into the history books of English football.
This comes with the Egyptian having joined the 100 club, as one of only 30 players to ever net a century of goals in the Premier League, since its inception back in 1992.
Just where, though, does his goal versus Leeds leave Salah when it comes to the fewest appearances required to reach the milestone?
Well, as showcased below, the former Chelsea man stands as the 5th-fastest player to ever hit 100 PL goals, behind the quartet of Alan Shearer, Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero and Thierry Henry:
Only four players have reached 100 Premier League goals in fewer games than Mohamed Salah.
