How Liverpool’s’ Sadio Mane can make Premier League history vs Crystal Palace
Sadio Mane has a chance to make Premier League history when Liverpool face off with Crystal Palace on Saturday, September 18th.
Mane’s Liverpool struggles
Liverpool, as a squad, had a pretty poor 2020/21 season overall.
This, of course, was partly due to the serious injury woes suffered amid the Covid-19-hit campaign.
But even without such struggles, a number of Liverpool’s stars underperformed considerably across the season.
One such player was Sadio Mane, who, despite hitting 11 goals and eight assists in the league, endured a pretty poor campaign by his standards.
And Mane is seemingly aware of this himself, having undergone tests back in May, to ensure that nothing was physically wrong with him.
Such struggles have carried on into the current campaign and were evident against Leeds last weekend.
Granted, Mane did end up scoring Liverpool’s third of the day, but the winger fluffed countless top chances before eventually putting one away.
Mane can make history
However, Mane will be hopeful his fortune changes this weekend vs Crystal Palace.
Liverpool will play host to the Eagles in a 3 pm tie on Saturday, September 18th.
