How A Text Message From One Of My Daughters Helped Me Deal With Sorrow Over My Son’s Death – Pastor Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has opened up about how a text message from one of his spiritual daughters helped him get over the “deep sadness” he felt after his eldest son, Dare died in 2021.

You may Recall that Dare, 42 died in his sleep on May 4, 2021 in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he pastored a church and lived with his family.

During the church’s April 2022 Holy Ghost Service, Pastor E.A Adeboye, disclosed this on Friday, April 1, 2022 at the international headquarters of the church along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The older Adeboye, preaching on the theme of ‘Signs and Wonders,’ said that children are evidence that God is a miracle worker, a covenant-keeper, and the giver of life.

In his words: “When I lost my son last year (2021), then I was deeply in sorrow, I got a text (message) from one of my (spiritual) daughters that suddenly turned the tide. What she wrote was simply this: Daddy, let God carry you.”

Meanwhile, The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has rejected reports that surfaced following a disturbance at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday following a FIFA World Cup playoff match between Nigeria and Ghana.

It could be recalled that Nigerian fans at the Abuja Stadium stormed the pitch after the match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Black Stars of Ghana to destroy facilities at the stadium.

In a statement published on Friday, April 1, the NFF’s General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, called remarks that the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja had been banned  by FIFA due to fan violence and that the match’s Video Assistant Referee (VAR) equipment had been stolen as a ruse.
