The Honor Magic4 series debuted in February, so it’s almost time for the new series. We’ve seen leaks that indicate the premium Magic5 model will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. But there will also be an affordable “lite” model and this one will use a lower power chip – a Snapdragon 695, according to Google Game Console. .

The Honor Magic4 Lite also used a Snapdragon 695, but that appears to be a different version of the chip. The six small cores derived from the Cortex-A55 operate at 1.8 GHz instead of the standard 1.7 GHz. The two big Cortex-A78-based cores run at 2.2 GHz, just like the original chip.

Honor has already used this chipset, by the way, the Honor X9 5G also has its small cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. Other than that, the X9 is nearly identical to the Magic4 Lite (also, the two were launched a week apart).

The Magic5 Lite (aka Honor HNRMO-Q and RMO-NX1) runs Android 12 and packs 8GB of RAM, based on GPC information. In addition, it has an FHD+ display (1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9). Dimensions are unknown at this time, but the 2022 model had a large 6.81-inch LCD display and this should be along the same lines. From the image released by the GPC, it looks like the new model will have a curved screen (the Magic4 Lite had a flat screen).

Considering the launch isn’t too far in the future, we should start seeing more details about the upcoming Honor Magic5 series soon.
