‘He did it on purpose’: Viewers convinced Paul Pogba’s red card vs Liverpool was premeditated
Viewers of the clash between Manchester United and Liverpool this evening have flooded to social media, to react to the red card picked up by Paul Pogba.
Salah leads rout
The marquee fixture of the Premier League weekend played out a short time ago.
Amid altogether contrasting spells of domestic form, Manchester United welcomed Liverpool to Old Trafford, eyeing their first win in four in the English top-flight.
When all was said and done on Sunday evening, however, to say that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men failed to do that would be something of an understatement.
In one of the most memorable 90 minute outings in the recent history of the Premier League, Liverpool absolutely ran riot, to eventually emerge on the right side of a 5-0 scoreline.
Mohamed Salah inevitably stole the show, notching a hat-trick to make it an eye-watering 14 goals in his last ten appearances across all competitions:

Also on target for the visitors, meanwhile, were both Naby Keita and Diogo Jota.
Jurgen Klopp’s men, in turn, have climbed back into 2nd in the Premier League, a point adrift of table-topping Chelsea.
‘Knew what he was doing…’
At Manchester United, though, the inquest will now get underway.
On the back of a solitary point from an available twelve across the club’s last four outings, the Red Devils have now slipped to the depths of 7th.
A whole host of the club’s key figures, both on and off the pitch, have therefore been singled out for deserved criticism, with calls for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be relieved of his duties beginning to mount.
Solskjaer’s had plenty of bad days in charge of United, but I’m not sure there’s ever been a clearer demonstration of how far below the elite level he is. Stunningly naive approach today and Liverpool have scored in all the expected ways

When it comes to those to have taken to the pitch for the hosts versus Liverpool, though, one player in particular has since been widely targeted by viewers of Sunday’s showdown.
The man in question? Paul Pogba.
Midfield enigma Pogba was introduced off the bench at the interval this evening, but lasted just fifteen minutes, before being sent for an early bath owing to a dangerous tackle on Naby Keita.
And, as outlined above, many have since come to the conclusion that, based on both the blatant nature of the challenge itself and his ensuing departure from the pitch, Pogba’s dismissal was in fact premeditated on the part of the Frenchman:
Convinced Pogba has given up withOle’s shit and did it on purpose.
Awful tackle, no excuse.#ManUtd #MUFC
