Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen Embarasses Himself While Trying to Defend LeBron James

The debate above who the best player in the NBA is has been going berserk lately. While LeBron James has been on the Throne for a while now, there has been a constant pressure my players like Kawhi Leonard and Kevin Durant who put up monstrous numbers on a regular basis.

After missing the 2020 playoffs, Durant made his much awaited return in this season’s post-season. While his team crashed out against the Bucks in the second round, Durant was fabulous in the series.

Putting up a 49-point triple double, KD put on a masterclass as he carried his team to force a game 7. This performance has led to many claiming Durant has indeed become a challenger to ‘the King‘ and might dethrone him in the near future.

Scottie Pippen makes hysterical error in latest LeBron James take

Scottie Pippen has been in the news lot lately. The former 6-time champion recently had a pretty public back and forth with Kevin Durant after his comments of explaining why LeBron James is a better player and leader than the ‘Slim Reaper’.

During a discussion on ESPN’S the First Take, Pippen reiterated the same as he tweeted out that ‘King James’ had indeed won the 2016 ring without any help, implying his ability to lead a lackluster supporting cast and understandably being the best.

This statement certainty raised a lot of eyebrows as the Bulls’ legend claim also suggested that Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving were not of enough quality. Stephen A. Smith was certainly not a fan of the same, as the veteran analyst snapped and called out Pippen for his ‘Blasphemous’ take.

After a pretty intense back and forth between Smith and Pippen, the former 6-time champion realised the mistake he has made in his original take. In a recent tweet, the 11-time All-Star clarified that his original comments were about the 2015 Finals.

LeBron’s efforts against the Warriors in the 2015 Finals was certainly commendable. Despite missing Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love through injuries, ‘King James’ was able to lead his side to the NBA Finals.

Given how Bron and KD have performed over the years, the debate of who the best player is, is just getting started. Given all the narratives floating around, it will be fascinating to see who indeed comes out on top. Who do you think is the best player in the world, Kevin Durant or LeBron James?
