Many of a Chelsea persuasion have taken to Twitter on Sunday, to send a clear-as-day message to those in a position of power in west London over on-loan midfielder Conor Gallagher.

At the double

Gallagher, of course, was back in action earlier this evening.

On the back of a sparkling stint with Crystal Palace, the English international was handed his latest start in the middle of the park by Patrick Vieira, in a Premier League meeting with Everton.

And, when all was said and done, to say that Gallagher managed to build on his glowing reputation would be putting it lightly.

A Man of the Match performance saw the midfield all-rounder lead the charge for Palace, en route to an eventual 3-1 triumph.

Gallagher both opened and rounded out the scoring at Selhurst Park, with his 2nd, a stunning effort from the edge of the D, having been fully befitting of another starring display on the part of one of the Premier League’s finest up-and-coming talents:

‘Recall him!’

And, as alluded to above, Gallagher’s latest show of brilliance did not go at all unnoticed amongst fans of his parent club…

Chelsea, of course, have endured plenty of problems of their own in the middle of the park of late, amid fitness woes suffered by all of N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

In turn, the Blues faithful have made clear their feelings that Gallagher should be brought back to the club as soon as possible, even if such a scenario means cutting his loan at Crystal Palace short:
