Google spotted beta testing state ID cards in Android Wallet in Maryland

A report of The edge confirms that Google is beta testing support for digital ID cards in the Google Wallet app. Apple Wallet currently supports adding IDs from three states, including Maryland, Colorado, and Arizona.

A tipster sent screenshots to The edge and shared the process required to add a new ID card to the wallet. Scan the front of the ID first > scan the back > take a short video of your face > submit it to the state for approval (in this case, the state of Maryland). The tipster was able to add their ID using the latest Google Play Services beta update.
