Google Pixel 6a certainly kicked things up a notch when it comes to design and processing power, compared to the previous Pixel 4a, which was the latest device to launch in India at the time. While the Pixel 6a had notable improvements over its predecessor, it still lacked several features given that it was offered as a premium device when it launched in India. From the leaks so far, we have enough evidence that the next Pixel 7a exists. Detailed renders and leaked specs also suggest the phone will make up for last year’s shortcomings. The latest leak claims to give us our first official look at the Pixel 7a. Someone seems to have gotten their hands on a unit and even managed to get details on its RAM and storage.

Zing News claims to have obtained the “world’s first Google Pixel 7a”. The source in his report shows perfectly clear photos of the smartphone which has not yet been launched. At a glance, the phone looks very similar to the currently available Pixel 7. There are photos of the back, top, and bottom, all of which look suspiciously like the Pixel 7. These are also very much in line with previous leaked renders of the Pixel 7a by another source.

The rear panel shows off a camera module that appears to be an upgrade over the Pixel 6a’s glass and plastic camera bump, which was known to gather dust due to its design. The new camera module appears to have a single piece of metal that extends from edge to edge and seamlessly blends into the frame on either side, just like on the Pixel 7. The camera module and frame appear to have a matte finish.

The source also clarifies that the device has a metal frame sandwiched between two sheets of glass, unlike the plastic back panel used on the Pixel 6a. He also claims that the camera module is made of metal, similar to the camera module of the Pixel 7. Strangely, the source claims that the device has two 12-megapixel cameras, which goes against the claims made during a previous leak that one of the rear cameras would use a 64-megapixel Sony sensor.

According to the leak, the handset has only one physical SIM slot and it comes with an IP67 rating. The phone in the photo didn’t turn on, but accessing fastboot suggested it has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. While the 128GB of storage isn’t a big deal, the RAM boost surely brings this Pixel on par with other midrange and high-end devices, as the Pixel 4a and Pixel 6a offered 6GB of RAM.

The handset has apparently been locked down by Google, but its previous owner has confirmed that the phone’s screen features a 90Hz screen refresh rate. However, the screen appears to have the same thick bezels as before, leaving hear that it could be the same panel with the previously proven 90Hz refresh rate enabled.

Although all leaks indicate that the smartphone is an actual unit of the Pixel 7a, we cannot be sure until Google announces the same, so we ask our readers to take the above information with a grain of salt. spoonful of salt. Previous Pixel 7a leaks have suggested that the phone will be powered by Google’s Tensor G2 processor and the phone will also feature wireless charging. The design of the phone has already been hinted at in a leaked hands-on video.
