Global variant of Samsung Galaxy S23 spotted on Geekbench: report

The Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphone was reportedly spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking website with the model number SM-S911B. However, this is not the first time the smartphone has appeared on the list as its US variant bearing the model number SM-S911U has already been spotted on the same website. The new listing seems to suggest that the vanilla smartphone in the Galaxy S23 line could arrive with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under its hood. Meanwhile, a recent report suggested that the launch of the South Korean conglomerate’s next flagship series could arrive by mid to late February 2023.

According to a report from Nashville Chatter, a smartphone with model number SM-S911B has been spotted on benchmarking website Geekbench, which is believed to be the global variant of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 series vanilla model smartphone.

The spotting suggests that the smartphone could be powered by a 3.36 GHz octa-core processor, which is said to be a customized version of Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

Meanwhile, the report also suggested that the Galaxy S23 smartphone could have 8GB of RAM, while running the latest Android 13.

The smartphone reportedly scored 578 and 2118 points on Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

A previous report leaked rumored Galaxy S23 dummy renders, which seemed to suggest that the smartphone might feature a similar design to its predecessor, the Galaxy S22 smartphone. However, it is expected to be a triple camera, with an LED flash alongside. The three cameras have been designed to stand out distinctly on the handset on suggestive renders.

Another report suggests that the Galaxy S23 series – which is expected to include the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra – will arrive with support for recording 8K resolution video at 30 frames per second (fps).

It is important to note that the South Korean conglomerate has yet to provide any official confirmation on the specifications, details, features, pricing or launch schedule of the Galaxy S23 series.
