This comes with the 43-year-old, almost a year to the day from being sacked by Chelsea, having been chosen as the man to replace Rafael Benitez at Everton.

So, when will Lampard be announced as the next Toffees boss? And what are his plans upon arrival?

Well, as alluded to above, an insight into precisely that has been provided on Sunday evening.

As per a number of reliable sources, plans have been put in place for the ex-English international to be unveiled as the latest man in the dugout at Goodison Park on Monday.

Lampard is set to put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal on Merseyside, and will be backed by the Blues board courtesy of the immediate addition of Donny van de Beek on loan from Premier League rivals Manchester United:

Lamps eyeing reinforcements

Lampard, however, appears unlikely to be satisfied with just a sole addition to his ranks at Goodison Park prior to Monday’s transfer deadline.
