FPL fans take note: Jamie Vardy & Tariq Lamptey updates emerge ahead of Leicester vs Brighton
Leicester vs Brighton
The League Cup is back on our screens this week, with several round of 16 ties taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Leicester and Brighton are set to face off on Wednesday as they vie for a spot in this season’s quarter-finals.
The Foxes would, of course, secure FA Cup success under Brendan Rodgers earlier this year and are no doubt keen to add to their silverware collection once again this campaign.
To get to the last 16, Leicester saw off Championship outfit Millwall by two goals to nil.
Brighton, meanwhile, beat Cardiff in the second round and Swansea in the third round.

Vardy & Lamptey updates emerge
Ahead of Wednesday’s game, both Graham Potter and Brendan Rodgers spoke to the media on Tuesday.
When doing so, the pair provided updates on Jamie Vardy and Tariq Lamptey.
Lamptey was a favourite of Fantast Premier League fans before his injury last season, whilst Vardy has been one of the better forward options on the game this term.
But after the striker went off at half-time over the weekend, FPL fans were no doubt concerned. And that concern is unlikely to have been eased by Rodgers on Tuesday, with Vardy set to miss out against the Seagulls.
Vardy won’t be considered. “He felt something in the warm-up. I could just see in the game, he wasn’t quite himself, wasn’t as dynamic, so I don’t want to risk further injury. We made the change & brought in Patson, who’s fresh and confident after his midweek performance.” #LCFC

Meanwhile, Graham Potter said the below on Lamptey:

“We’ve got a plan with Tariq but it depends on how much involvement he’s had. He played quite a bit – more than anticipated against City – so with a view to Liverpool we’ll make the call about him but we haven’t got any fresh injury problems.” #bhafc pic.twitter.com/zpg3xjYW32
