Afrobeats singing sensation, Adedamola Adefolahan, professionally called, Fireboy DML has yet again hit another global career milestone.
The YBNL Nation superstar’s chart topping record, ‘Peru’ bagged a remix with Grammy-award winning singer and songwriter, Edward Christopher Sheeran MBE, better known as Ed Sheeran.
The Fireboy DML and Ed Sheeran’s ‘Peru’ has received Gold certification in the United States of America. In the U.S, a song is eligible for gold certification after selling over 500,000 units.
According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on April 14th, 2022, “Peru” has officially sold more than 500,000 units, therefore making it eligible for a gold-certified record.

This is coming few days after the same song was certified platinum in the United Kingdom after selling over six hundred thousand (600,000). Congratulation to Fireboy DML and Ed Sheeran.
In Other News; Raving Ghanaian recording artiste, Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kwaku Frimpong, widely known as Black Sherif has performed his hit song, ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ in Nigeria for the first time.
At the recently held Homecoming festival, Black Sherif gave patrons a night to remember as he performed his smash hit record, ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ for the first time in Lagos, Nigeria.
This is coming after young raving act thrilled fans and music consumers to an outstanding and energetic performance of his now chart topping record, ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ at the 2022 3Music Awards.
The Homecoming took place on Sunday, April 17, 2022. Black Sherif performed ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ and also ‘Second Sermon Remix’ on which he featured the African Giant, Burna Boy. Watch video below.
