Everton handed Abdoulaye Doucoure injury boost

Everton have, on Tuesday, been handed a boost regarding the injury suffered by Abdoulaye Doucoure recently.

Everton started their season in solid form and were in and around the top-six following the first seven league games of the season.

A key reason for this would be the form of Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Despite operating as a central midfielder, the Frenchman would score two and provide four assists in his first seven Premier League games of 2021/22.

As a result, it was of course a huge blow when it was revealed last week that Doucoure had suffered a stress fracture and was set to be out for around six to seven weeks:

Everton handed Doucoure boost

Now though, as mentioned above, a fresh update on the 28-year-old has emerged on Tuesday and it is good news for Everton.

As per Fabrizio Romano, the  Everton midfielder will be back earlier than expected and is preparing his comeback for four/four and half weeks’ time:
