Erik ten Hag’s stance on taking Manchester United job this season revealed
Erik ten Hag’s view on potentially taking the Manchester United job this season has been revealed.
Erik ten Hag’s stance on Manchester United job
Manchester United are, of course, currently being managed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, it has become obvious that the Norwegian is simply not at the level required to take the current Man United squad and challenge the likes of Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel.
This has become increasingly more obvious over the last several weeks when Ole’s Man United have been convincingly beaten by both Manchester City and Liverpool.
And with United’s title challenge already looking to be over, the Reds already out of the League Cup and struggling in a fairly weak Champions League group, it is fair to say that United fans would all probably like to see Solskjaer sacked as soon as possible.
However, there are now seemingly not too many good options available at the moment, especially after Antonio Conte joined Tottenham.
And now, it appears another top manager is also out of the running to take over at Man United this season.
According to the Daily Star citing The Independent, sources close to Ajax boss Erik ten Hag have indicated that the Dutchman will not be leaving Ajax midway through the season under any circumstances.
Man United set to stick with Solskjaer?
And even if Ten Hag was interested in the job, it does not look as though United will be sacking Ole anyway.
According to a report from Sky on Monday, Man United have no plans to replace their former striker despite the loss to Man City on Saturday:
