Erik ten Hag sends warning to Cristiano Ronaldo and Man United stars: ‘Whoever does not meet their tasks…’
Incoming Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has, on Friday, fired something of a warning shot to the star members of the Red Devils’ squad.
Speaking in an interview with Trouw in his home country of the Netherlands, the highly-regarded tactician was today drawn on the prospect of working with Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford.
This of course comes with ten Hag having agreed to take up the reins at Man United come the summer, bringing to an end a stellar stint in charge of Eredivisie heavyweights Ajax.
And, if the latest comments on the part of the 52-year-old are anything to go by, then the headline crop of star players on the red half of Manchester could be in for something of a rude awakening.
Ten Hag has confirmed that, in dealing with Ronaldo and co, he intends to remain true to his ‘vision’.
This means that each member of his squad will be expected to carry out the ‘task’ assigned to them, or risk the wrath of their no-nonsense new manager:

Warchest revealed
Turning attentions away from the current crop of players plying their trade at Old Trafford, and instead towards those who could arrive in the summer, an insight into the kind of budget which Erik ten Hag is expected to be granted to add to his ranks at United was provided earlier today.
And the news proved of an altogether positive nature for the Dutchman, and Red Devils faithful alik.
As per a report from the reliable Paul Hirst of The Times, ten Hag will have a £120 million warchest to work with ahead of the commencement of the 2022/23 campaign.
