Details emerge of Manchester City star Ferran Torres’ potential move to Barcelona

As revealed last week, Barcelona have registered an interest in Ferran Torres, the Manchester City and Spain winger.

As per the Daily Mail, Barcelona vice president Rafael Yuste claimed:

‘Ferran is a great player and we are working with discretion,’

‘We have friends at Manchester City and there is good relationship.’

‘Ferran Reverter has paid a courtesy call.’

As per the same outlet, however, Manchester City would expect to receive “more than double [than the 21 million they paid] that if he were to depart”.

The Citizens have also been linked with team-mate Raheem Sterling, as well as Chelsea duo Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, as they look to rebuild a frontline that has seen Sergio Aguero, Martin Braithwaite and Ousmane Dembele all miss significant chunks of the season through injury, with speculation as to whether Sergio Aguero will ever play again after heart problems.

Details emerge in the Spanish press

Now, as per Spanish press, and outlet Mundo Deportivo, details of any potential move have emerged.

The site claimed:

“In England it is pointed out that for about 50-55 million an agreement could be closed”

Despite the haggling over a fee, there would be no such issue over a contract:

“In fact, he already has a closed agreement, for five seasons, with the Barça club.”

This was reiterated by Patrick Berger, generally reliable for news in Spain.
