‘Deontay Wilder Is Very Focused’ – Vayl Lomachenko on Fury vs Wilder 3

Ahead of his career-defining trilogy fight against Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder may not have many believers on his corner. However, former lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko seems to have sensed a few unique features in ‘The Bronze Bomber’.

Lomachenko, who will appear in action against Masayoshi Nakatani this weekend, will also have his eyes on Fury vs Wilder 3. The Ukrainian legend has claimed that the heavyweight trilogy will be an “amazing” contest. Hence, he has looked at both the contenders’ chances, before they collide on July 24.

In a chat with FightHype.com, Vasyl Lomachenko said, “It would be very interesting fight because it’s 1-1. I think Wilder [is] very focused and very very hard prepared for this fight. But Tyson Fury also know what he need to do in the ring, So. it will be amazing fight.”

Meanwhile, former WBC champion Deontay Wilder has expressed some eye-catchy changes in his personality. Following his maiden loss to Fury in 2020, the American pugilist bagged the trilogy at a time that dismayed heavyweight boxing fans. Just when Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua were scheduled for a unification battle, Wilder stepped up to win his arbitrary case and secured his rematch.

This, along with his training videos, paints a picture of a highly focused individual who wants no distractions ahead of his shot at redemption.

Is Deontay Wilder ready to beat Tyson Fury?

Although Lomachenko claimed that they are tied at one apiece, it’s actually Tyson Fury leading the chart. While the first fight ended in a controversial draw, Tyson Fury demolished Wilder to such an extent that his corner threw in the towel midway through round 7.

Wilder, who already had the power and skills, seems in sync with his new trainer Malik Scott. With Scott at his side, he will look to focus on the technical side of the game to hang in there with Fury who will not give him room to land his trademark power punch.
