Cristiano Ronaldo & David de Gea send messages to Man United fans
On the back of one of the club’s worst-ever displays in the Premier League, Cristiano Ronaldo and David de Gea have sent messages to Manchester United fans.
Man United embarrassed
Manchester United were simply outplayed, outclassed and embarrassed by Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on Sunday evening.
Liverpool did head into the game as favourites due to United’s poor start to 2021/22, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s awful record in big games and the fact Liverpool were/are unbeaten in all competitions this season.
Nobody, though, likely could have seen just how badly Man United would play, leading to Liverpool scoring a staggering five goals on the day.
5 – Manchester United have suffered their heaviest ever defeat at home to Liverpool, whilst it’s the first time they have lost to-nil by 5+ goals at home since February 1955 (5-0 v Man City). Erosion. pic.twitter.com/ZeGo6Lm69M

Cristiano Ronaldo & De Gea send messages to Man United fans
Now, after a record-setting defeat at home to a bitter rival, both Cristiano Ronaldo and David de Gea have posted messages to United’s fans.
Ronaldo stated that Man United’s fans were amazing and deserved better than what they got:
Sometimes the result is not the one we fight for. Sometimes the score is not the one we want. And this is on us, only on us, because there’s no one else to blame. Our fans were, once again, amazing in their constant support. They deserve better than this, much better, and it’s up to us to deliver. The time is now!
David de Gea, meanwhile, sent out the below message:
I feel the pain of our supporters, you give the team everything and we must do the same. I love this club and we will not accept this performance.
