Cricket South Africa (CSA) disclosed on Tuesday that its Human Resources Committee is working on appropriate sanctions for workers implicated in a forensic report focused on governance issues in the organisation.

Following investigations into this matter, former CSA CEO Thabang Moroe was fired in August.

CSA is also planning to take criminal action against him.

Investigations revealed that he flouted proper processes in filling certain vacancies like the HR manager.

It also revealed that he breached the Company’s Act 12 times which made the organization lose over R500,000.

CSA Director John Mogodi made it known that recommendations from the report is being implemented by the board.

“The issues of policy, credit card policy, policy regarding the delegation of authority all of those have now been approved by the board.”

“The draft [Memorandum of Incorporation] MOI is now ready to go out to the different provinces for approval.

“The work that still needs to be done with regards to the forensic report is issues that need further investigation and issues that need to go the police authorities,” Mogodi said.
