Confirmed: Major developments in Man United’s move for Ralf Rangnick

A monumental step forward in Manchester United’s swoop for Ralf Rangnick has, on Friday evening, been confirmed.

Rangnick eyed

The subject of the bench at Old Trafford has of course proven headline news across the last 24 hours.

This comes with a key development in not only United’s managerial plans, but sporting project as a whole, having been forthcoming altogether out of the blue.

Owing to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s dismissal last weekend, those in a position of power at Old Trafford were of course faced with the delicate task of bringing in the kind of mind capable of condemning a near-decade’s worth of poor decisions both on the pitch and off to the history books.

And, in the eyes of most, on Thursday, the Red Devils took a considerable step towards precisely that.

As confirmed by a host of reliable sources, United swooped decisively to tie up a deal with footballing savant Ralf Rangnick, with a view towards the German taking up the managerial reins at the club for the remainder of the campaign, before taking his place in the boardroom through 2024:

Lokomotiv’s seal of approval

And, as alluded to above, late on Friday evening, Rangnick being unveiled as the new face of the sporting project at Old Trafford has moved ever closer.

This comes with the board on the red half of Manchester having overcome one of the final hurdles in pushing a deal over the line.

As confirmed by the likes of reliable BBC Sport reporter Simon Stone, an agreement has been struck with Lokomotiv Moscow, to release Rangnick from his current terms with the Russian heavyweights.

In turn, though the operation is not yet ‘complete’, it is now viewed as just a matter of time before the German tactician is officially unveiled as the next manager of Manchester United:
