Concern for Arsenal as Mikel Arteta confirms several players have been unable to train ahead of Leicester

Leicester vs Arsenal

Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off will see Leicester City and Arsenal face off at the King Power Stadium.

The two sides head into the game hovering around midtable, though both are in decent form.

Leicester are unbeaten in their last four league ties and would advance to the quarter-finals of the League Cup earlier this week.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are now six games unbeaten in the Premier League after losing their opening three ties of the campaign.

Mikel Arteta’s side have also, following the introduction of Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White to their backline on a regular basis, become one of the most defensively sound sides in the division.

In their last six PL ties, for example, the Gunners have conceded just four goals, compared to nine in their previous three.

As a result, the north Londoners likely fancy their chances of getting something against a Leicester City side who have been fairly inconsistent this term.

Mikel Arteta on Arsenal team news

Ahead of the game, Mikel Arteta would speak to the press on Friday. The Spaniard would discuss a number of topics in his press conference, including team news.

And unfortunately for Arsenal, the news was not all positive from the Spaniard.

When speaking in his press conference, Arteta confirmed that several players have been unable to train. However, he would not name who the players were, leaving Arsenal fans somewhat in the dark for the time being:

Arteta did, however, provide an update on Kieran Tierney, stating that the left-back is progressing in training.
