Chelsea star in Real Madrid’s crosshairs for summer swoop
Chelsea in top form
Jadon Sancho’s goal was only the fifth that reigning European champions have conceded this season in the Premier League, with Thomas Tuchel’s side currently sitting atop the Premier League table, one point clear of Manchester City and a further point ahead of Liverpool in what is already turning into an intriguing three-horse race for the title.

They were even named the best club in the World at last night’s Ballon D’or ceremony, while several of their players were nominated for numerous categories, including Mason Mount and Romelu Lukaku.

However, they are not having it all their own way, with four of their defenders out of contract come the summer, leaving Tuchel very short at the back despite the impressive performances of Trevor Chalobah.
Real Madrid target Rudiger
Now, as per Goal.com, Real Madrid have emerged as the next destination for Antonio Rudiger. The Chelsea favourite is allegedly “the first choice for Real Madrid to improve their defence”, and could well follow David Alaba in making the switch to Los Blancos at the end of his contract.

Allegedly, Rudiger is set to demand 12 million euros per year wherever he ends up heading, which is a significant increase on his current salary, and is something that Chelsea seem unwilling to offer him. It is thought that the German also has other offers from the likes of Bayern Munich.
Will the 28-year-old be leaving Chelsea come the season’s end?
