Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham has ‘accepted personal terms’ with Arsenal

Abraham & Chelsea

One of the main talking points of Thomas Tuchel’s tenure at Chelsea has been how little he had used Tammy Abraham.

In the league under Tuchel, Abraham has so far made just six appearances and not a single one has lasted longer than 45 minutes.

The forward also failed to make a single appearance in all of Chelsea’s Champions League knockout games under the German.

On the back of Abraham falling out of favour, it was claimed back in April that the Londoners would be open to listening to offers for the 23-year-old.

We would then see an Arsenal switch touted towards the back end of July.

In more recent days though, it did look as though Abraham was set for a move abroad.

Sky reported on Monday that Jose Mourinho’s Roma had agreed a £34m deal to sign Abraham.

This seemed like a great bit of business for both parties. Chelsea were getting a nice fee for a player Tuchel clearly had no plans to use. Roma, meanwhile, looked to be getting a top-quality goalscorer who is still yet to enter his prime.

Now though, reports from England suggest Arsenal still have a horse in this race, so to speak.

TalkSPORT, citing the Metro, claim that the Gunners could take the deal away from Roma, with Abraham having accepted personal terms with the north London outfit.

It is added that Chelsea would prefer to sell Abraham to a club outside of England.
